Organic almonds: prices approach seasonal high

MADRID/SACRAMENTO. Market players reckon that the prices for organic almonds may peak soon. A price jump is anticitpated. A rather surprising difference in price has been observed for US almonds.

High prices

The prices for organic almonds range at EUR 8.20-8.35 per kg in the spot markets in Spain. This is an increase of up to EUR 0.15 per kg since last week. Export prices, however, still range at EUR 9.35-9.50 per kg FCA Spain. Market players reckon than farmgate prices will peak very soon. The prices for conventional almonds were also risen by EUR 0.05-0.15 per kg.
