Cumin

Cumin prices have been following a downward trend in recent weeks and have again fallen significantly compared to last week. Exporters are finding it particularly difficult to cope with the new requirements in Bangladesh; the important buyer country has had an import duty on cumin since 31 July, which has significantly reduced imports. Some traders are holding back their goods to push prices up, but this is likely to be a dangerous game that could lead to losses if prices fall further.
