MANISA. Traders in Turkey are calling for the TMO to regulate prices in the new season. Market players are, in addition, far from satisfied in the organic sector.

TMO to prevent price erosion

Although the sultana and raisin exports have declined by 8% over the last eleven months, the prices prices have risen by 26%. Since the suppliers are highly satisfied with the prices, they are doing everything in their power to prevent prices from dropping in the new season. Market players complain that some exporters are offering new crop type 9 sultanas for prices ranging at USD 1.75 USD to 1.85 USD per kg FOB Izmir.
